The stainless steel polished case is decorated with an Art Deco engraving with black resin fill with a crown matched precisely to the original including its vintage Bulova font. Under a domed sapphire crystal a brushed silver-white dial is adorned with bold numerals a subdial traces the seconds while Art Deco numerals and blued hands inspired by the original watch all with luminescent paint for low-light legibility. The watch is powered by a hand wound Swiss La Joux-Perret Caliber D100 with 18 jewels and a 50-hour power reserve. Paired with a black leather strap and an engraved buckle this Bulova men’s timepiece is limited to just 100 pieces and delivered in a special commemorative watch box making it a magnificent tribute to one of history’s greatest aviators and his greatest accomplishment.
